Why do you want rack and pinion? You have to be very careful or you will end up with awful bumpsteer.
Castlemaine Rod Shop may do a conversion.

You will know if the xb has a 20:1 steering box, because you can't turn the wheel fast enough to keep up with what the car is doing. There are markings on it somewhere.

Probably based on current Commodore front suspension. I don't think it has rack and pinion. Cost 3 to 4 K including big brake conversion. He said he will be making them for mustangs and the US market.

I think using a Macpherson strut in a Falcon is sacreligous. If I wanted a strut I'd buy a commodore. I will be lowering the upper arm by approx 1.75" - for neg camber gain, raising the bumpstops - for required travel, moving upperarm back by 1/4" - for castor, bracing and strenghtening the strut towers.

I'm considering doing a brake conversion using VX Commodore rotors and AUII Falcon 2 pot calipers.(very large calipers)
