Hey Doop, I was going to summerise my poem in English and pidgin, but left it in Motu.

The original poem is in English so I will post it just for you.

Long ago to thee I gave
Body, Soul, and all I have
Nothing in the world I keep.

All that in return I crave
Is that thou accept the slave:
Long ago to thee I gave
Body, Soul, and all I have.

Had I more to share or save,
I would give as give the brave,
Stooping not to part the heap;
Long ago to thee I gave
Body, Soul and all I have-
Nothing in the world I keep.

The original of the poem was from French of Wenceslas, Duke of Brabant and Luxembourg in 1384.

Translated into English by Sir Newbolt.

I love sharing good things with those who appreciate good taste.

Have a good day and thanks for stopping by to read my poem.

Hey this is one we us all if you have not heard it. Hidden meaning

It is by Francis Bugotu former Ambssador of the Solomon Islands to the U.N.

"We are peoples of the islands and the islands are of us, indivisible, a single whole. The islands are embodied in our songs and our dances and in our total way of life. If we look after our islands they will look after us.

For the island does not say: Do not walk on me.
The yam does not say; Do not roast me.
The fish does not say: Do not catch me
The coconut tree does not say: Do not use me.
But they all say: Do not spoil me"

Coconuts.

Hey Coconuts:

I liked the last one you wrote to "Do not Spoil". Unfortunately, "they" always want to change stuff. Keep them coming.

One Love
Brianna
