Indeed sad for the people of the Pacific
Another string from the old empire
Has snaked its way into their homeshire
Upon devious designs from its masters
To hoodwink, snare and seduce theirs stars
Coerce into line and conform to their desires
Alas! What an abomination, an awful horror
To be forever upstaged by another foreigner
To be brought down by a vote of no-confidence
Yeah, a thumbs-down to his unique intelligence
How many more unpleasant surprises in store
For the gentle soul of the noble Pacific Islander
His destiny now rests on the whims of an outsider……….
Would it be just natural to be left alone
to discover one's his own destiny, not a clone
learn hard lessons from deliberate mistakes
grow wiser for his own livelihood is at stake?…..
