Mangi-nambis

where have the fishers gone?
whilst the hunters hunt alone
and who’s to for it atone?

Also the guardian of the reefs
and medicine man with his leafs
e’en the orator of bygone moons
and crooner of sacred tunes

O where have they all gone?
For vacant now the jungle thrones
and who’s to for it atone?

For strange gods they abdicate
Pursuit of idols their dictate
sago pounders now knead grain dough
gardeners now wield that darn chainsaw

Loyalties now cost more than a favor
Survival is collecting refuse for silver
But what of the ancestor’s treasure?

O where have they all gone?..........................

well, i am forever reminded, you pasim maus 'you meri nating'.
mangi nambis, keep writng on the sands, likes of me will read and be re-assured of my own sanity!!!

For the MNs...
loved the title from the nambis kid!!!..Yes lets keep writing in the wesan; the quiet lament for injustice & the rape of our Kwila is about to be taken over by massive violent uprising on our streets by "kwila Kids" from whom the precious hard wood has been stolen.

Regarding "sanity" from the other MN, just this:... "Madness need not be all breakdown. It may also be break-through" !!!. ~R.D. Laing, The Politics of Experience…
