Sometimes life’s a drag, there’s no getting around it, sometimes the world seems determined to destroy you. Sometimes the life you live is borrowed as if each second you have must be stolen to prove your existence. Sometimes you toil and labour, sweating just to break even, just to arrive at the point of your life that satisfies your lowest standards. Sometimes life really is a drag. But there is always a sun after the rain, a hug and kiss after loss, oranges after lemons and peace after war. God created miracles every day, every smile we receive, every person we see, every child that is born or that we comfort, every flower that blooms, they all point to a beauty that we were created into, a beauty that we must present; to be the lamp on the table, the light on the hill. |
