Charlie came to visit me today
He told me he was inlove
I said to him
Don't you just hate how it hits you with no warning?
He said nothing

Charlie called me again the next day
He reminded me he was inlove
So I asked if he was happy
He said nothing

I had lunch with Charlie the day after
We talked and laughed
So I asked him who this special girl was
He said nothing

Charlie came over and watched a movie with me
We ate popcorn, sang and drank
And I questioned how it felt to be inlove
And this is what he said to me

I'm miserable and unhappy
It hit me without a warning
It's a wonderful feeling really
But not when she doesn't know I love her
