You told me
you were coming
I didn’t eat
I didn’t sleep
I arrived
before the rest
looking into the skies
waiting in my best
with joy in my eyes
I waited, waited and waited
My heart became empty
Like the skies ahead
My eyes became blurry
With no signs ahead
Tears slowly descended
When I heard you went down
In a ball of flame
I wanted to drown
Just the same
I refused
To hear
It must not be you
My biggest fear
Came true
You told me
You were coming
Yes mummy
You did
But I didn’t know
You would come in the wind
