...so the saga continues...
Little men with huge egos
coveting big shoes...

Coating puny self with superfluousity
And crowning titles of vanity

While the big men cower
hidden from dim corridors of power
And speak only in awed whispers
In shameful terror

Everyone no longer pays heed
To the innocent honest kid
Who continues to point with loath
And mutters, “the emperor has no clothes”...

...So the saga continues...
Small feet little duces
With gigantic egos
Coveting titanic shoes

Coating puny selves
with superfluousity
Crowning themselves
with pompous titles of vanity

Thumping hollow chests
Blowing own trumpets
Charging at windmills
And slipping on banana peels

"...for whom the gods intend to destroy
they first of all make stark raving mad..."
So the Don Quixotes seemingly enjoy
thier deranged babble in a state of undead

to which the crowd no longer pays heed
for high office their avarice and greed

The real big men of power
Hold back lightning and thunder
Noble and silent in their tower
Auditing the mess and plunder

The rank and file neither shudders
nor speak anymore in whispers
nor tremble in stark shameful terror
But are emboldened warriors
Like the innocent honest kid
Who continues to point with loath
And yell, "...the emperors have no clothes!..."
