The Sailor

"I didnt think, therefore I am not"....calling them stupid is being way to polite RH.
There is an old story that goes like this!(I'll try to keep it short).

One day a man was on his boat in the middle of the ocean when it hit something and started taking in water. The man wasnt to concerned at this stage and started pumping/bailing the water out. But the water was coming in faster than he could pump it out and he estimated he would have about 4 hours before he would have to abondon ship.

Being a fervent christian he knew God would rescue him and immediately decided to pray. Half an hour later a yacht passes by and offers assistance, but the man refused, saying no thanks, God will rescue me!!!!. 2hrs later a ship passes by and seeing the boat listing to one side offered help to the stricken owner. Again the man refused help and said no thanks, God will rescue me!!!
On the 4 hour the man is at the top of the Mast with the boat under water when a helicopter goes past and offers to rescue him. The man waves off the helicopter saying no thanks, God will rescue me!!

The boat eventually sunk and the man perished deep in Davey Jones Locker. He rose to heaven and when he got there was really angry with God. "Why didnt you rescue me" cried the man angrily. God said, I sent you the yacht the ship and the helicopter and still you did not accept my help!!!

The moral of the story is that God provides us with opportunities not direct intervention!
