Let's talk origins. Now is there an OriginaTOR of all things? A quick look at the sun says it all. There is an originator. Who bought the gas to run that machine up there? Has it been burning from eternity past? Of course not. We can not talk of origins without an originator.
Whatever your answer is, it's based on faith.
The Christian Bible says God is the originator of all things. That God has no beginning nor end.
That has to be taken by faith. Our created minds are limited to process that concept. We are placed on a timeline, in a physical realm, subject to birth, life and death, so is the universe, as matter it is finite, it had a beginning and it will end.
All things physical are subject to death and decay.
The God of the Bible is not affected by cosmic origins, alterations or demise.
When Moses was seeking God's authorisation to lead his people, God identified himself as I AM THAT I AM. Strange. But that predicates his timelessness. 'There is no time when I am not', is what God is saying here.
When Jesus was confronted by his detractors, he made a stunning statement: "Before Abraham was, I AM". (Abraham lived some 1500 years before Christ). That's incorrect English already as real time grapples with God's timelessness. Before Abraham existed, He existed as the Creator God, even before Adam.
Let the Bible be itself. If you cannot agree, keep looking. You have every right to originate your own philosophical thought or religion. You have that freedom. But do not trash Christianity or its followers.
This is a faith page and faith is the central theme. If you're an atheist crashing into a faith party, trying to sell your nothingness, feel free, but you have nothing on your shelf.
