|Merry Christmas |
Isaiah 40:3-5 through the grace of God was able to let the Jew know of a messenger coming before the Lord.
The messenger was born in the year of the Lord, which St Luke was able to quote from Zechariah's Prophesy (Lk 1:67-79).
The birth of John and Jesus was foretold as recorded in Lk 1:11-13 and Lk 1:28-31 respectively.
Mary, the mother of God Son has this to say, as taken straight out from the NSRV Holy Bible- Catholic Edition (Lk 1:46-55) but in particular Lk 1:46-48 "And Mary said "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in the Lord my Savior, for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed;......"
The messenger through the grace of the One that send him to prepare the way for the Lord recognises the Lord as stated in John 1:29-34. " Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world"....By faith, John declared Jn 1:34 "And I myself have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God."
Jn 2:2-10 (The Wedding at Cana). This is a well known opening 2nd chapter in John's Gospel. How can the Lord deny the request from his Mother?
Therefore, these are just some of the basic facts from the Holy Bible to as why Catholics call Mary "Blessed" as prophesed in Lk 1:46-48. Catholic's pray the Holy Rosary to remember the different stages of Life for our risen Lord. We ask Mother Mary to interced for us by asking his Son. There is only one mediator and that person is our Lord Jesus Christ, son of the living God.
thanks for that - seems so simpleNo score for this post

Quite simple to follow the Bible, but yet Fundamentalist and Bible Christians decided not to accept what the Holy Bible says. One wanders why they are so keen on Solar Scriptura?
