Jesus speaking of the future and keeping of Sabbath:
Our Lord; Christ Jesus was teaching and warned about the future events in Mathew chapter 24: READ ALL OF IT. He warns His disciples (& us) about the impeding doom, the tearing down of the temple in v. 2.
He sat upon the mount of Olives and His disciples came and asked Him privately; when shall be the sign of Thy coming be? And end of the world?
Jesus warned in v.4; take heed that no man deceive you. And expressively warns in v.5; for many shall come in my name, and shall deceive many.
Christ continues to foretell the future events; the beginning of sorrows, the persecutions. Christ again warns us about false prophets in v.11, but reassures us that the same shall endure and shall be saved in v.13. He also tells us that the true undefiled gospel shall be preached to all nations, and then the end shall come in v.14. And than He warns of the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel.
Now watch; to those who have eyes. Listen; to those who have ears, see and hear this from the Lord and Master of Sabbath Himself. Continue with Mathew 24:
v.16; let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:
v.17; let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:
v. 18; neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes:
v.19; woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days:
v.20; But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:
v.21; For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Christ is telling us that the Sabbath will be kept; and He expects us to keep it, just from the warning He is giving us in v.20, but listen He warns us again below. He warns us to pray that it shall not happen in the winter, NEITHER ON THE SABBATH DAY. He foresaw us keeping Sabbath (rest), and when you rest; are you prepared for what will come? That is why He says; pray that it will not happen on the Sabbath day; when you are expected to keep it and be at rest.
Christ has warned us again quiet expressively in v.24; For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. He goes on and explains in parables, than brings us to the point where the sign of appearing of the Son of man will be like.
Christ than affirms in v.34 that these things be fulfilled before this generation shall pass. And in v.35; Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Man has seen fit to defile the laws and principles which Christ upheld, one of which is creation Sabbath. Early Christians have decided to substitute the Sabbath day with the Lord’s day (the Lord’s day in Rev 1:10 has continually been misquoted and misused), and that was happening within some sectors as Paul and Peter so ardently try to preach the truth and upheld it. Seeds of defilement of the gospel were even planted (by satan) in the generation of the disciples including Paul’s time. Christ has already foretold and we can confirm v.34 that it has happened in Peter and Paul’s generation (before that generation passed away; v.34 exclusively confirms this). This is the undefiled, untwisted Word of Christ, straight as He warned that day on the mount of Olives. He foresaw the future; and expressively asked us to pray that day of tribulation may not fall on the Sabbath day (take note on Christ’s word usage; the Sabbath, not a Sabbath or Sabbaths).
The Lord’s day; why have early Christians substituted the Sabbath with the Lords day? It is truly satans work; all he had to do was plant a seed of deception. Just like he did to Eve in the Garden of Eden. He is not only standing at the side right now and watching the world as we keep debating this Sabbath issue and tearing at each other using Gods word as a tool, satan, his angels and his workers of inequity are also at work; who lit the initial fire; Satan Did, so he is in the thick of this discussion. We substantiate our moral/carnal arguments (fueled by who? satan) with Christ declaration that; He is the Lord of Sabbath, so we can do whatever we want because our Lord did it. God forbid, Christ is Lord and He is God the Son. We are human beings; made right ONLY through grace by the power of the blood. We have no right, no power, no authority to switch Sabbath with the Lord’s Day. Only those who believed the flowery seeds of defilement can do that; and somewhere the seed was planted in the early days of Christianity.
I have always pondered the resurrection verses of all the 4 gospels; and they all describe in an established fashion with no room for error in interpretation. I particularly prefer Mathew 28:1-2 for this discussion; In the end of the Sabbath, v.1; As it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. V.2; And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
When Chirst was dead and buried on Friday; it was the preparation day for Sabbath; so Christ could not be left hanging on the cross, so they took Him down and buried Him. Read Mt 27:64; Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
Sabbath is a day of rest and all the apostles were in the upper room all locked up. John 20:19; Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
This very clearly illustrates that after the death of Christ, and was buried, He was with the dead (His body, soul and spirit were at rest), heaven was at rest, all the disciples and followers were at rest, not a soul stirred. Heaven and earth came to a stop, a standstill. Than read Mathew 28:1-2, heaven and earth moved at the early hours of Sunday, the angels went to work; rolled the stone away, the Holy Ghost went to work; raised Christ from the dead, Mary Magdalene and Mary mother of James went to the tomb. That is the first day, the Lord’s day. It is not the same as Sabbath.
Claiming the Lord ’s Day as a day of rest (Sabbath), a day of worship is unbiblical and has its roots in a seed of defilement of the Holy Word of God that satan planted in the early church days, and he continues to enjoy, watching us live in error, against the institution of God, and God continually makes available His grace to us even to this day and this moment also as we discuss on the Sabbath issue. Satan continues to harvest from the seed he planted, and with our ignorance he will continue to laugh and snare at us.
Sabbath is the day of rest; a day of worship in spirit and in truth. The Lord’s day continues to remain the Lord’s Day and is Sunday. It is a time of working for the kingdom of God, it is a time of alms giving, visiting the sick, visiting the poor, preaching the gospel to the un-reached and unsaved.
That is the powerful Lord’s Day, and your seed shall bear much fruit on working (not resting) on the Lord’s Day.
Finally I have always pondered these issues; the prophesy states that Christ will rise on the 3rd day, but never stated the exact day of the week. Christ was taken from Gethsemane on a Thursday night, He was hanged on the cross on a Friday afternoon, He was in a tomb all day Saturday, He was raised to life very early and gone before dawn break forth the very next day after Saturday.
The fundamental questions I would like to ask you all is this: 1. Did God plan that it should happen the way it did? Having heaven and earth come to a rest on Saturday whilst Christ was in the tomb? 2. Does that show that heaven and earth should observe the Sabbath day institution of God? 3. Why did He not plan; such that Christ will rise on the Sabbath; so heaven and earth could change the Sabbath day and make it the Lord’s day, surely God the Father can, but why did He not? Did God allow the death and resurrection to happen so that it only fulfills the prophesy? Or is it again a shadow of things to come in the ages of eternity? Is there a deeper meaning to the fulfillment of this prophesy?
We are here on earth as mere visitors; our focus is upon eternity and what God has instituted in heaven remains intact; undefiled and untwisted, holy and righteous, to Him forever and ever. Everything will pass away but God’s word shall not.
Satan has been defeated by Christ; and we will continue to defeat him through Christ, we will continue to uproot all his evil seeds, and when Christ returns for the final battle of Armagadon, satan, his angels, and his workers of inequity will be locked in chains and shut in hell for eternity, where he will never again plant seeds of defilement amongst man to defile God’s word. And we will forever obey and respect God’s word and His institutions; we will worship Him in truth and in spirit in the new earth and heaven forever.
Satan your time is limited; your days are numbered. You will take some but not all.
In Christ Jesus.
Amen,
ManMountain

The Great Disappointment of 1844 - Now I know why!

I did not have the time to read the whole thing but the first one or two paragraph about false prophets and devil predicting the second coming makes a lot of sense to SDAs such as Manmountain and BBC.
Remember William Millar, the founder of SDA church tried to interpret Daniel to mean Jesus was to return on October 22 1845? Did not happen. Did the bible lie? False prophets will trick you that Jesus is here or almost here.
Very good, Manmountain. Keep it up. You are a real credit to SDA.

Catholics and Protestants agree that to be saved, you have to be born again. Jesus said so: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
When a Catholic says that he has been "born again," he refers to the transformation that God¡¦s grace accomplished in him during baptism. Evangelical Protestants typically mean something quite different when they talk about being "born again."
For an Evangelical, becoming "born again" often happens like this: He goes to a crusade or a revival where a minister delivers a sermon telling him of his need to be "born again."
"If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe he died for your sins, you¡¦ll be born again!" says the preacher. So the gentleman makes "a decision for Christ" and at the altar call goes forward to be led in "the sinner¡¦s prayer" by the minister. Then the minister tells all who prayed the sinner¡¦s prayer that they have been saved¡X"born again." But is the minister right? Not according to the Bible.

John 3:3 I tell you the truth, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
If you try to do more than the above, you lose Gods grace on your life.
Do not confuse the simple minded people who want to go to heaven. The above is the definition of being born again and making it into heaven. You do not have to belong to a certain congregation to get there. You do not have to worship on a certain day. Even the thief on the cross got saved when he believed in Jesus - before that he was a worse criminal and hurting others. If he was originally a muslim thief he would be saved only when he believed in Jesus. If he was a sunday church keeping thief, he would also be saved too.
The problem with this nation is that the different churches attack each other so much that they have forgotten the above basics. They have all gotten into silly and unimportant arguements of the flesh that thay put their own wisdom ahead of Gods simple ordained way of getting saved. They pride themselves in so-called religious wisdom but the Spirit of God has rejected them and they lack any power whatsoever. They try to manufacture the fruit, and they definitely lack the power gifts of the Spirit. They do not realise that the Spirit has left because they have not planted themselves into the true basic spiritual knowledge that counts in saving souls. Instead they argue about things like Satureday/Sunday worship and doctrinal differences etc.
1st Corinthians 2:4-5 My message and preaching was not with wise and persuasive words but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5. so that your faith might not rest on mans wisdom but on Gods power.
I guarantee you that once you truely meet the person of Jesus Christ, first you will be changed by His power. And second he will give you the true biblical power to bring the Gospel across in true love. A gospel that will set the lost people truely free : casting out demons from demoniacs, healings, miracles etc; these are a by-products of the presence of God upon you. If you just have some knowledge in your head but no evidence of power then you are lacking the true Christ wittnessing power to reach the lost. You do not reach the lost by argueing with them, you reach them by being a channel of God's love and power.
Where is all the demonstrations of Gods love and power that Christ said would accompany us who preach His name? Come on? All of you who are busy defending the names of your churches and congregations?Where are the miracles, healing, signs, wonders, gifts of faith, prophecy, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues that suppose to accompany your ministries and congregations ? Those of you who worship on Saturday too? You think you can reach the world for Christ by standing neatly in a neat pullpit and talking clever talk alone ? Clever talk does not stop bad rascals from stealing, killing, raping etc. You need Gods firepower. This comes by believing the simple things correctly. That power is no longer in the your churches because you are all busy fighting each other.
If we are not doing these things then let us build up ourselves again on true knowledge that both saves our souls and empowers us to reach out and touch others.

Born again is a term used in the Bible by Jesus.
How Bible Christians after the reformation interpret that is is quite different to the teaching of the Chruch and the traditions as handed down by the Apostels as instructed by the Lord himself.

Wow! powerful words.
You said "All of you who are busy defending the names of your churches and congregations?Where are the miracles, healing, signs, wonders, gifts of faith, prophecy, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues that suppose to accompany your ministries and congregations ?"
May I ask too? Where is yours? What do you mean by speaking in tongues, miracles and all wonders etc as you have mentioned here? Please show us your proofs as I am one of those Thomas' here.
Truth stands alone. It comes from Jesus Christ, who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" in John 14:6. Truth is not dependant upon private opinions. Jesus Christ said that he cares not for the opinions of men, Mark 12:14.
Therefore the opinions of mankind have no bearing whatsoever on doctrinal truth.
Romans 10:18, "But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have; for "Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world."
Whose voice "has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world"?
Again, it is those who are sent, the Apostles and their successors whose words have gone out to all the earth and to the ends of the world as commanded by Jesus Christ Himself to the Apostles in:
Matthew 28:18-20, "And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."
And in:
Acts 1:8, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth."
Romans 13:1-2 "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment."

You are correct when you say that truth is found in Jesus alone and because he is the only one that can save you. Nothing else. You are also correct in stating that the gospel must be preached to the ends of the earth in the power of the Holy Spirit. That is the exact point I am making.
But I do not want to get into a flesh arguement/challenege here. Because that sort of thing never got me to where I am in my christian life today.Argueing and fighting will never get us anywhere. Only believing in Jesus alone and loving others. Loving them as Jesus asked us to.
However, without glorifying myself or any earthly person or cause I would like to say for your knowledge that, by the power of the Holy Spirit that comes from simply believing in Christ, I also cast out demons, I prophecy, I speak in multiple tongues that I do not know, I interpret these tongues, I give words of knowledge about situations that the naked eye cannot pick up. But all by the Spirit of God and as He wills (and not as I will) to fulfill the will of the Father. I can tell about personel things straight from the throne room, but this forum is not a place for that.
I do not come from a church that uaually does these things. But I move in all the gifts of the Spirit too .And alot of other churches do not do these either. That is where the problem lies. We are too busy fighting amongst ourselves that the real power of God has left the pulpits. The real power that delivers drunkards, turns wife bashers around, confronts witches/sorcerers and brings them to the cross, makes aethists know there is a God, converts hardcore criminals etc, that power has gone out.
The churches have become just a talk house. All talk and no evidence of Gods power to back them up. No wonder there is so many points of view with no God manifestations like Jesus as He showed when He ministered here on earth 2000 years ago.
But make no mistake. It is not the gifts that count to make it to Heaven. It is not a particular day of worship or any type of human doctrine that the churches put importance to these days. Only recieve Christ in your heart and confess with your mouth.Call on Him and you will be saved.

Japh: You are correct when you say that truth is found in Jesus alone and because he is the only one that can save you. Nothing else. You are also correct in stating that the gospel must be preached to the ends of the earth in the power of the Holy Spirit. That is the exact point I am making.
Remarks: Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus redeemed us. We have to continue the journey for our own Salvation through Faith and works. Faith alone without works is dead (Read the Letter of James 2:21-26).
Japh: But I do not want to get into a flesh arguement/challenege here. Because that sort of thing never got me to where I am in my christian life today.Argueing and fighting will never get us anywhere. Only believing in Jesus alone and loving others. Loving them as Jesus asked us to.
Remarks: God¡¦s love of us is fundamental for our lives, and it raises important questions about who God is who we are. In considering this, we immediately find ourselves hampered by a problem of language. Today, the term ¡§love¡¨ has become one of the most frequent used and misused of words, a word to which we attached quite different meanings.
Let us first of all bring to mind the vast semantic range of the word ¡§love¡¨: we speak of love of country, love of one¡¦s profession, love between friends, love of work, love between parents and children, love between family members, love of neighbour and love of God. Amid this multiplicity of meanings, however, one in particular stands out: love between man and woman, where a body and soul are inseparable joined and human beings glimpse an apparently irresistible promise of happiness. This would seem to be the very epitome of love; all other kinds of love immediately seem to fade in comparison. So we need to ask: are all these forms of love basically one, so that love, in its many and varied manifestations, is ultimately a single reality, or are we merely using the same word to designate totally different realities?
Japh: However, without glorifying myself or any earthly person or cause I would like to say for your knowledge that, by the power of the Holy Spirit that comes from simply believing in Christ, I also cast out demons, I prophecy, I speak in multiple tongues that I do not know, I interpret these tongues, I give words of knowledge about situations that the naked eye cannot pick up. But all by the Spirit of God and as He wills (and not as I will) to fulfill the will of the Father. I can tell about personel things straight from the throne room, but this forum is not a place for that.
Remarks: The sacrament of confirmation is mentioned in passages such as Acts 8:14-17, 9:17, 19:6, and Hebrews 6:1-2, which speak of a laying on of hands for the purpose of bestowing the Holy Spirit. Of special importance is Hebrews 6:2 because it is not a narrative account of how confirmation was given and thus cannot be dismissed by those who reject the sacrament as something unique to the apostolic age. In fact, the passage refers to confirmation as one of the basic teachings of Christianity, which is to be expected since confirmation, like baptism, is a sacrament of initiation into the Christian life. We read: "Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment" (Heb. 6:1-2).
Notice how in this passage we are walked through the successive stages of the Christian journey-repentance, faith, baptism, confirmation, resurrection, and judgment. This passage encapsulates the Christian's journey toward heaven and thus gives what some theologians call the order of salvation, the ordo salutis. It thus well qualifies as "the elementary teachings" of the Christian faith.
The evil one does lots of things, as well; that one would think comes from God.
Questions: How do you know, you speak in tongues? Do you use a tape recorder to record your speaking in tongues? Do you keep a record of such events?
Japh: I do not come from a church that uaually does these things.
Remarks: By reading your comments here leads me to conclude that you are preaching the ¡§Born Again¡¨ doctrine. Accepting Jesus Christ as ¡§your personal saviour¡¨ has saved you. In other words, you are assured salvation by making a simple act of accepting Jesus Christ as you personal saviour.
No matter what happens later, no matter how evilly they might live the remainder of their days, their salvation is assured. Granted, the Holy Spirit might punish them in this life for their sins (here many fundamentalists take a rather Old Testament view on why one ought to be good¡Xto avoid temporal evils, not to gain heaven, which is guaranteed no matter what). But in no way can they undo their salvation, because it has nothing at all to do with the intrinsic worth of their souls or with what Catholics term actual sins.
Japh: The churches have become just a talk house. All talk and no evidence of Gods power to back them up. No wonder there is so many points of view with no God manifestations like Jesus as He showed when He ministered here on earth 2000 years ago.
Remarks: A Catholic church building is a holy place for worship, just like the old temple in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. Miracle is performed daily at Catholic Mass ¡V changing of bread and wine into ¡§Body¡¨ and ¡§Blood¡¨ of the Lord. Those that take it have their own stories. There are a lot of evidence in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, that it is indeed after consecration the ¡§Body & Blood¡¨ of the Lord. Catholic¡¦s do believe in ¡§Real Presence¡¨.
If you want know more about real miracles, read about Fatima, Lourdes, Medugorje and few other places around the world. The stories of what happened or is still happening will tell you which Church is still recieving guidance from God, a promise made by the Lord hismself. On a more visible front, the Justice and Peace arm of the Church is all over the world helping the needy, not only with their material needs, but spiritual needs as well.
Japh: But make no mistake. It is not the gifts that count to make it to Heaven. It is not a particular day of worship or any type of human doctrine that the churches put importance to these days. Only recieve Christ in your heart and confess with your mouth.Call on Him and you will be saved.
Remarks: The Son of Man was God. Word was made flesh and dwelled among us. The Church doctrines are actually Christ based. He taught his Apostles and the Apostles passed it onto their sucessors - through Traditions. The Holy Scripture has to be fulfill in full before one can take his/her seat in heaven.
"Are you saved?" asks the fundamentalist. "I am redeemed," answers the Catholic, "and like the Apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling, with hopeful confidence¡Xbut not with a false assurance¡Xand I do all this as the Church has taught, unchanged, from the time of Christ."

Can you tell me where I am and how my personal relationship with Jesus is right now, even better can you indentify me. With the speaking in tongues, Can you say the name God in my language?
I believe in speaking in tongues but to a extent like on Pentecost day, where somebody understood the spoken words. Many speaking in tongues this days are just fakes.

21 Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have not we prophesied in thy name, and cast out devils in thy name, and done many miracles in thy name? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. 24 Every one therefore that heareth these my words, and doth them, shall be likened to a wise man that built his house upon a rock, 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded on a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these my words, and doth them not, shall be like a foolish man that built his house upon the sand, 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall thereof. 28 And it came to pass when Jesus had fully ended these words, the people were in admiration at his doctrine. 29 For he was teaching them as one having power, and not as the scribes and Pharisees.

Genesis 3:15
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will strike at your head, while you strike at his heel."
3 [15] He will strike . . . at his heel: since the antecedent for he and his is the collective noun offspring, i.e., all the descendants of the woman, a more exact rendering of the sacred writer's words would be, "They will strike . . . at their heels." However, later theology saw in this passage more than unending hostility between snakes and men. The serpent was regarded as the devil (Wisdom 2:24; John 8:44; Rev 12:9; 20:2), whose eventual defeat seems implied in the contrast between head and heel. Because "the Son of God appeared that he might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8), the passage can be understood as the first promise of a Redeemer for fallen mankind. The woman's offspring then is primarily Jesus Christ. Who then is the woman?
