Dr. Simon Greenleaf (1783 – 1853), was the Royal Professor of Law at
Harvard University, was the foremost Authority on Proofs and one of
the greatest legal minds that ever lived. After meticulous examining
the evidence for the existence and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST, in according
to the jurisdiction of legal evidence he proved that JESUS CHRIST was
the SON OF GOD, died and was resurrected on the third day.
Dr. Greenleaf committed his life to JESUS CHRIST.
And not only that, Dr. Greenleaf was so convinced by the overwhelming
evidence, he committed his life to Jesus Christ!
A Frightening Story of Hope.
Ps 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no GOD. They are corrupt,
they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.(KJV)
My Catholic Bishop told a story some year ago. I have treasured it in my heart.
‘One day an wealthy atheist on a tourist tour enjoying his lifes accomplishment and
wealth, noticed the long, secluded but dedicated existence of a group of humble
priests in a monastery.
He spoke with a concern to the leading priest that they were wasting time and their
lives. He said, ‘you can enjoy life like me’. You are really wasting you lives away
in this useless pursuit of praying, he brashly commented.
The wearied face on the old monk looked at the well opulent pampered and lavishedly
groomed specimen of a human.
The monk from those humble lips uttered the most noble of words, the very quintessence
of life.
Sir, the monk said, without a quiver nor a flinch, I perceive that you are very
ignorant.
Time shall hide no secret. For if we are wasting time it may be for 60 plus years
we breathe and live in this body.
But Sir, the monk continued, with a calculated pause to allow the final nail of words
to plunge home.
Just what if you are wrong. What if you have been wasting time. You may enjoy the
fruit of your toils now.
But for argument sake you are wrong then my friend you are in grave danger of
wasting Eternal life.
Thats forever and ever and ever, condemned to a hell never intended for humans
but for the fallen angels.
Your Story Too.
Fellow forumists, I say to you , perhaps you too could be squandering
your life away for a perishable pursuit. It is my prayer at these
holy convocations of Easter that you might find life in JESUS CHRIST.
I became a Reformed Catholic after I too found JESUS CHRIST of Romans 9:9-10.
You too can if you can pray at the place of your convenience to effect
the scripture below. Just ask JESUS CHRIST in to you heart to be your Lord
and Saviour. Almighty God shall be a father to you. Find a good church
to go to or for that matter back to your church.
Rom 10: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS CHRIST,
and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.(KJV)
