It takes me nine hours to drive to Oklahoma City and environs to see my extended family up there. I refuse to fly--not that I'm so afraid to, but I'm too much of a control freak. I take my cat carrier and cat food wherever I go in the back of my pickup truck, so that if I find any poor little stray kittens, I can grab them and bring them home to my 10 acres. I have them "fixed" at six months so there won't be any more homeless kittens and they live outside, protected by my four cat-loving dogs, who were also homeless pets once. It would kill me to leave a small animal to suffer. That's why people call me an eccentric old woman. I only have 15 cats now, once in a while the coyotes kill one, but I know I'll get more. The most cats I ever had were 26. I consider it my animal ministry.
Have a wonderful time in Colorado.
P.S. If I ever find an abandoned baby Bigfoot, I'll bring it home and let you know instantly. Then you can take it and deal with it, living so close by, LOL!
