err, EX Dilgar homeworld (that's now a nebula)... what'd they hit it with?

Whence cometh Draz?

For that matter, I may have missed... Quatoria?

>what'd they hit it with?

Nothing. As per B5 canon (and so far nothing said by Commonwealth Engineers Nathan, Eric or my humble self) the Dilgar busted out of their home system and conquered a good chunk of territory until the Earth Alliance and a number of the non-aligned races (on assumes the Thranx & the other major pre-Commonwealth races) pushed 'em back to their homeworld and locked them in.

A few months later, the star exploded. So much for the Dilgar.

>Whence cometh Draz?

Draz, home of the B5 Drazi

>For that matter, I may have missed... Quatoria?

That one's one of Eric's additions to the HC, out of Rifts IIRC. You'd have to ask him about specifics. (incidentally, somebody *please* let me know if I got the homeworld names wrong!)

I'm not sure that they'd align their administrative districts based on the extent of colonization/previous space controlled. The idea is complete almagation, after all - their ideal is a society where species is socially irrelevant. As such, I'd expect the districts to be more equal in size.

But then again, I'm the LE, not the Commonwealth Guru. It'll fly as is, I'm just not sure it's ideal.

Blessed be.

Well, I'm not totally keen on it either, but my problem is that the Commonwealth is too *big* from the point of view of finding known landmarks to base districting on...

Ah, well, back to Illustrator.

I think I've managed to solve the districting problem in a reasonably fair, Humanx-equse manner. I kept the Dilgar Reclamation District as is - after the War and the tender mercies of the Dilgar the place is a total mess, and I can't see a Commonwealth official *not* taking the opportunity to rebuild the whole thing, as a showcase of Humanx Good Works if nothing else.

Comments, critiques, etc.

I like the map, but may I suggest incorporating some reference to the original's districts, demarking racial boundaries. Even if they've begun to fade, sheer bureaucratic inertia would probably result in something.

Also, District doesn's rign quite right, except for the DRD - maybe call the squares quadrants or something?

Quatoria (spelled the same whether singular or plural) isn't a race/location, it's an occupation.

They are heavily (but unobtrusively) borged out Wolfen. They law enforcers, and operate much like the US Marshals in the old west, independantly, in small groups or assisting local cops depending on the situation.

"They are dedicated (some would say fanatical) law-enforcers and have little sympathy for the criminal element. Whenever the 'dead or alive' option exists, most Quatoria prefer to bring them back dead - it saves the taxpayers the cost of a trial."

They will pursue targets beyond the commonwealth's borders, and often operate undercover as pirates, smugglers and bounty hunters.

All in all, they're sorta like B5's Rangers.
