There are two contributions - firstly, Raj Whitehall & co. are soldiers of the United Western States, one of the nations on Nueva Terra (and yes, there is an ancient battle-computer advising him, although the origin is slightly different).

Secondly, Bellvue, Hafardine and Visager are all part of the Galactic Empire. The Empire is much older than most of it's neighbours (older than the Centauri, and perhaps the Minbari) but very dynamic and the centre of power floats around quite a bit. Currently the Ard subsector is dominant but the previous dynasty was dominant in the Talavera subsector. The three worlds from the General books were the focal point of a revitalisation of the Empire about a thousand years ago during a period when the Empire was disunited. Bellvue reorganised and managed to unite most of the Empire only to be ousted by the leaders of the Mort subsector for actual control of the reborn Empire at that time.

And I forgot that the Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines from Warhammer 40,000 (plus any supporting cast I like) are right on the Silesian side of the Darkvoid. Boy are -they- in for a surprise. (They're gonna be sorta the Lithonians of Act III, for anyone who's seen the Transformers Movie).

It's been a while since I last saw the movie, who were the Lithonians? One of Unicron's snacks en route to Cybertron?

BTW: are you using the various Chapters for the loyalist Space Marines? If so, Mind if I add in my homemade Chapter? 8P (I have 2 40K armies, Marines and Necrons)

hmmm, Necrons, another threat perhaps?

First scene of the movie is Unicorn mucnhing down Lithone. One Lithonian escapes and later gives information about Unicron to Hot Rod and Kup. I'm looking at having a similar thread with the Chaos powers as sort of minor Elder Gods (I don't know a lot about Cthulu, but that's okay, nor will any of my characters) that wake up and more or less incidentally stomp all over both Space Marine factions. The survivors will be the ones to spread the word throught the corner of the Spiral I've staked out.

> BTW: are you using the various Chapters for the

I'm planning to have the 9 loyalist and 9 chaos legions around, plus the Deathwatch and Grey Knights. If you want Space Marines elsewhere, I have no problems, they're a parallel or a splinter faction. If you want your marines there, or even your characters, I'm sure we can work something out.

> hmmm, Necrons, another threat perhaps?

I have no plans for them, but their mythos would work very well IMHO. If you want 'em, use 'em.

Silesian Sextant:
...

- New Khatovar(Glenn Cook's "Black Company" - modded to fit settings) - because even mercs need a home base, even if it's temporary.

Hmm, I've stumbled upon something interesting lately while going through the usual manga shopping routine, and decided that even if the thing looks like something Freud would have had a ball with ... well, just the "Big Gun" factor makes the baby too cool not to have.
It may not be among any hall of fame for big mecha out there, but what the hell. Anyone against bringing in Sonoda's so called "Cannon God" somewhere in Act3?
Potential story is being plotted out.

Yes, I mean the fhuge mecha that's basically an ancient relic and a walking spinal mount in one. Act III should be enough of a clusterfuck that even a unit _that_ overpowered is going to be hard pressed.

-Griever
and yes, the 'babe factor' in that comic had something to do with my decision, just not as much as someone who knows me personally would assume.

Zeiram (from the Iria/Zeriram ova.)

The Taiidani Sector gets the critters from Darkvoid correct? Well there might as well be a creature that really should be feared :)

Agh. I feel ashamed of myself for not thinking of that. I like those OAVs -so- much... And hey, except for the presence of bullet using guns, the techbase even fits.

Iria: Zeiram the Animation is an old, old OAV series that I was first exposed to when it was shown in Sci Fi Channel's Saturday Anime slot. Basically, it's about a young rookie bounty hunter (Iria) and how she stops the unstoppable bolshevik-crossed-with-a-pirate shapeshifting monster that ate her brother (Zeiram).

D.B. Sommer, I think, did a quite high quality cross with the Dirty Pair, Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot. Alas, it's unfinished.

Action, mecha that's nifty in a completely unique way, and the title character is -so- cute. And badass. Musn't forget that.

Blessed be.

Zeiram is a monster pure and simple. Over 2 m tall, clawed fingers, capable of using weapons, highly inteligent, though enough to survive an almost pointblank nukelear explosion and subsequent planetfall, and wreaking death and destruction where-ever he goes. Oh and his head can fly off and do other things while the body is busy.

Zeiram is pretty close to unkillable, the main guns of a battleship or superdreadnaught might be able to kill him, but I doubt it.

I had plans to have Zeiram as a legend of sorts among taiidani but he was left drifting in space a long time ago... Until my char stumbles on him... Should be interesting.

The presence of teleporter technology in the OAVs pretty much assures that he showed up in the Joker System at one point, they being the only remotely Player Character group with access to same.

No reason that shouldn't have been in the past, though.

Oh, and on a different note, I'm planning on having F Class starcruisers show up at some point, probably in act III or IV.

Blessed be.

F class, F class ... umm, clarify?
Act III or IV ... yup. As mentioned earlier, even the most badass ships and mecha'll be having a hard time.

I hope I'll be able to get the issues 4-8 of Exaxxion before the Spiral gets to Act III. Presuming we'll be releasing things in chronological order.

"We have a positive ID of the approaching vessel, and ..." came from the BCC"Mordred's" link to the "Le Fey", spoken in a hesitant tone that Stork knew all too well. It meant nothing good.

"Well, spill it already" Stork, the captain of the Black Company's destroyer said.

"Well, in the words of my ship's AI ... Oh my" the voice replied.

"What is _that_ supposed to mean ..." the screen lit up with a relayed image from one of the "Le Fey's" forward probes. Stork's face went ashen.

"That is one _big_ motherfucker" came from the weapons officer. The remaining bridge crew just nodded in eerie synchrony.

/So, tell me, command,/ came Red Three's voice over the comlink. /Just what -are- we supposed to be looking for, anyway?/

He flipped his mike open. "An 'F-class' starcruiser."

/_F_ class?! What the? And how the hell are we supposed to recognize this thing, anyway?/

"They played that close to their chests. Said we'd know it when we saw it."

/How can we -know- something when we don't know what it looks like?!/

/At a guess,/ Red Five answered calmly, /I'd say it's about the same length as an E class, half again the beam, three or four times the draft. At least, that's what I've got on screen./

The comnet was silent for a moment, then Red Seven asked, /Return to base?/

"Return to base. -Fast-," He answered.

Another source matirial which should definitly be included (but to the best of my knowledge isn't yet) is Read or Die.
I imagine the organisation is working for the galatic council much the way the 3WA is, maybe the Library is a subdivision of the 3WA? One specially desinged to work with 'gifted' agents?

So:
