varying quality

The later issues of Bastard are of varying quality, really. Some are good, some aren't quite up to par, some(the ones around 20) have the feel of a DBZ style brawl - all talk, no action whatsoever ... weird. Plus they changed the chara-design. Plus, the atrists get even more obsessed with the cup sizes of the female characters. Irritating.

The 21st volume was released a month or so ago, here in Germany, and they're _still_ not sure about what exactly Darshu is. Though Luche-kun was actually Morning Star reincarnate or something like that ... bleargh. A few flashback scenes here and there indicate that everybody's favorite raging ego is actually a bioweapon experiment of some sort, or maybe a clone. How unoriginal. A white haired clone with amazing powers. Sounds familiar in some vague, totally unrelated to EVA manner.

Um ... I'll stop spoiling the story for you now.

Heh, Rei as a superpowered sorceress, considering herself the Gods' own gift to men *drool*.

Right.

As for the other thing ... cool. There's someone on this list who's actually less than half the world away from my current place of residence.
