A variant of the Council logo Nathan used on the wormhole map, pretty much eyeballed so there's some difference, mainly in the thinkness and cant of the arms. Color choices are completely arbitrary and non-binding, just wanted to give it a little multimedia feel.

Comments, etc.

I get a distinct 'Glory to the Empire!' vibe from this piece.

Same Council design, more subtle colorwork, caption design shamelessly ripped from Five Star Stories:

Call it an X-Menish preview poster for the first batch of stories.

Comments, etc.

Very nice indeed.
Could serve as the graphic link to the ACT I stories, with the remaining Act graphics based off this one.

Act II would be in blues and blacks, with the symbol marked with bullet holes.

Act III, in red and black, some of the arms of the Spiral visibly crumbling and dark tendrils winding around the rest.

Act IV, bronze and somewhat battered, but otherwise alright.

Act V, kept in white, electric blue, and other bright tones with some hints of shadow here and there.

Or at least that's how I see it, but I'm not much of an artist.

Fairly self-explanatory, I think.

I like it... not much to say beyond that.

They make me feel really bad.

No, I mean it. See, seeing your variant on the eight-armed spiral let me figure out most of the problems I'd been having with the earlier versions but couldn't figure out...

Anyway, I started messing around again, and these are what I came up with.

http://www.tcnj.edu/~baxter3/counciltemplate7.bmp
http://www.tcnj.edu/~baxter3/counciltemplate8.bmp
http://www.tcnj.edu/~baxter3/counciltemplate9.bmp
http://www.tcnj.edu/~baxter3/counciltemplate10.bmp

These essentially address the way the central octagon seemed to be drawn in a different way than the arms, and the fact that the earlier drafts all had the arms getting visibly thicker away from their bases, which just didn't look right to me.

The other thing I'd like to try, which MSPaint won't -do-, is see what each of them looks like after being rotated 22.5 degrees.

Other than my issues with the logo itself, the posters are almost unbearably cool - which is why I feel bad for not being willing to endorse them strait out.

Another possible thought for the posters would be to move the act titles from bottom right to bottom center, between the 'S's.

Blessed be.

In that case, have a specially abstract render to celebrate the finalization:
