is that what I _think_ it is?
oh my oh my oh my
it sure looks that way!
Damn if they didn't do nice work with the chara design, though Honor looks a little too ... umm ... cutesy? on those covers. Ah vell, it's manga, so that's expected.
Now I'm cursing myself for a)not knowing enough Japanese to be able to read them and b)not havin enough cash to actually do anything about acquiring them in the first place. Shitte ... and they look like they'd be _fun_ too, dammit!
Any bets on when we'll be getting those published somewhere closer to home, in a language we have a chance of understanding?

Da. Plus my sister pointed out that Nimitz's face looked more like a rabbit's than a Treecat's. If it comes to the to translating them, it is likely that it won't take too much effort, seeing as they were translated into manga...

I suspect that these are the novels in japanese translation (they don't just read manga over there you know), rather than a manga.
However, ADV stated they have plans for Honor Harrington as an anime and that they will be involved in the production (although Mutineer's Moon was to be done first). I heard this during their panel at Anime Boston 2003 and asked if I'd heard right. They said yes and I was very audibly pleased.

I really like them, actually. Nimitz is maybe a bit off, yeah, but this version of Honor looks distubingly close to my standing mental image of her. I mean, yes, she's fifty-plus, but it's always been very clear in my mind that she didn't -look- like she was even out of high school yet.
So. Works for me.
Blessed be.
