For those of you who don't pay much attention to the comic-book scene, or who have absolutley -no- clue whatsoever what we're talking about when we discuss stuff like Stormwatch and the Authority, Wildstorm Comics is putting out a 4-issue mini-series this month called COUP D'ETAT that features most of the major players in the Wildstorm universe (and who happen to be pretty big players in the Spiral Humanx, to boot).

CD'E features the Authority - big, badass superheroes who are Above The Law - deciding, after one disaster too many, to literally take control of the United States from the rightful (if weaselly) government. The series chronicles both their attempt and the fallout from various other groups like Stormwatch.

The Spiral significance should be obvious, I think.

The first two issues are already out, next one due next week. I highly suggest that anybody interested in setting something in the Humanx during Act II/III/IV pick up a copy and take a read-through.

Be seeing you.

Authority related question:

What the powers of the winged lady, cause frankly she seems underpowered compared to the rest of those powerhouses.

Secondly, I know Sleeper is out, which other issue is out?

Um, flight and... that's just about it, really. Supposedly she's "invulnerable while in the air" but how accurate that is, I have -no- idea.

Stormwatch, came out yesterday.

Shen "Swift" Li-Min is some strange meta or a possible godling.
My theory is it was her in that egg Jenny Sparks retreived from Hitler's winter place in 1942 (he was about to partake of it once it was cooked as legends linked to the egg implied the imbibing of it provied imortality) or is possibly related to the occupant of said egg.

Her wings are rumoured to be retractable, but no-one has yet to catch her, or report back, with her wings in. She posseses a ablity to shift her hands and feet into talons which makes her resemble the fabled 'Phoenix People' who live somewhere Bayankala mountains of the Xinghai Province in western China.

This has been another random factoid fly-by produced by Rod.H.
Beware the Rod.H as he spouts factoids randomly and thinks he does not taste good with Tomato Sauce or it's derivitives.
