that there was some Sasquatch activity in that area. The problem was that Cliff Crook showed up and cast the only good track that was found. Cliff is known to be a hoaxer in the PNW so Meldrum's investigator felt there was little reason to go much further with the investigation because it would be over shadowed by Crook. It was also thought that the animal, what ever it was, had left the area. the clam shells were though to be the result of human activity. There also was Bear activity.
