Thousands, upon thousands, of young men and women have been called upon to secure the freedoms of our great country and our allies. Many lost their lives and made unbelievable sacrifices to ensure our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Many of us take for granted these sacrifices. My personal hope is that all people in this great country would take a moment to remember those who gave of themselves at the price of freedom.

War, may be well received to the naysayer, is abhorred by those who understand its' consequences. However, peace cannot exist without the threat of war. In this great calling for the spread of peace and freedom many have made sacrifices to bring this about. Many of our brothers in arms have fallen, been wounded, taken prisoner or are missing. To our brothers taken prisoner or missing I would like to extend a message of hope. Though you are in a land far away from home, have faith, know that you are not forgotten. Have hope that someday you will set foot back on the lands of freedom.

Thank you,
