the world cup final at Trevers'

yes, my crazy mummy and dad, we went to uncle Trever's house and watched the game.

Of course we were barracking for Brazil. And again gosh! my silly my keeps running to the TV to hug it when the goals were scored. My dad was mad because she was hugging the TV and he could not see what was going on.

After the first goal, my mummy and daddy were feeling sad for Germany and mummy changed her mind to barrack for Germany. But my dad still was barracking for Germany but after the lose he was not happy with the goalie because he did not accept the lose as
a sportman. He was really behaving like a little boy. But my mummy was very funny. After they won she said to me, Manda, you know what! I really secretlty was barracking for Brazil in my heart, you know that they are Catholics don't you? And man did she scream! My daddy is not a person who likes to watch sports but we forced him to come
with us so that he can stop reading for a while.

When we returned daddy had a glass of gin and tonic and left the bottle on the kitchen bench and that is how my poor mum got drunk or rather nearly killed herself. When I told my dad he thought it was funny and he said what a waste of my good gin. She was so upset that she poured out the rest in the sink. After she woke up still feeling and looking drunk she went out gardening hoping to get better.

cute! kids board?

Have you thought of doing a separate kids board? I'm sure there would be some wonderful stories like this written by kids. Why not encourage them?

kids writing competition?

yes, more kids writing would be lovely. Is there any kind of childrens or students writing competition in PNG? It would be a great idea to encourage kids to write.
