the afternoon,
a little dreamier than yesterday,
nursing aches from secret affairs,
smuggled between midnight hours,
whilst the world slept behind closed doors,
making up for two weeks away,
all summarised in a rushed meeting,
pledging loyalty to screcy,
playing the pretending game,
undercover of formal acquaintances,
How long must this thing last?
How long can we go on?
brewing forbidden flavours of wine,
partying in the midst of organised confusion,
just you and me,
drunk with our brew,
Two moonlite shadows,
dancing in midnight,
whilst all was asleep,
