Ms. Upchurch- My name is Kalissa Bach and I am presently attending Central Missouri State University seeking a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology. At this time I have a client that has a diagnosis of Treacher Collin's Syndrome. Mainly we work on oral motor exercises due to poor lip closure and tongue and jaw weakness. Because of these difficulties my client drools continuously. As I have been searching for research I have not come across any literature pertaining to saliva control issues. I know you're a new mother to Treacher Collin's Syndrome, but if you have ANY ideas on how to obtain literature about Oral Motor activites, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Kalissa Bach

p.s. as far as bone conduction hearing aids, I'm not an expert, but my client uses them and they work WONDERFULLY!!!! His speech is highly intelligible and he verbally communicates just as well. My client has recently gotten "big ears", but that was more of a social issue. He is a very bright, energetic boy with a wonderful self- esteem. Hope this makes you feel better!
