My oldest child, also a son and almost nine,has TC. We are also involved in a battle with our insurance company. They consider everything we ask for as cosmetic and we have to explain to them that it is not. Bryce has had two surgeries on each ear and is waiting for his surgery for the cheekbones. He was told on April 11 that he would be having surgery at the end of May. Well, here it is June 7, and we are still waiting. We can't get the doctor to call us back, or the insurance company to give us a straight answer. Talk about frustration! Bryce was also supposed to have had the Baha implant on January 19. We are still waiting on approval for this also! I am sorry about your experience with the hospital in Chicago. I didn't even know it was available (of course, with your experience, is it really available?). Would love to trade email and pictures of the boys. Bryce has never seen any other TC children except in pictures, and never really spoken to anyone. As I am sure you know only to well, Bryce is starting to have lots of questions and wants to meet other people "like him". Good luck!
