I am glad I saw your message. My son has just turned 2 and I am definately dealing with "proffessionals" who are stubbling as much in the dark as I am. There help has been poor at best.We have been using a bone conduction aid since he was about 4 or 5 months, mostly attached to hats 'cos we couldn't get the band(it went around his head like a sweat band) to stay on.We can never get hats or bands tight enough to make a tight connection.I was never told about using alternative sides, we have had problem after problem with his aides working properly anyway, he only recently got a back up aid. I keep asking about the BAHA and get little response apart from its a reasonably simple op to go through and how marvolous life will be with it.What questions should I be asking them. How do I get straight answers.I am starting to have little faith in their expertise, there is so much conflicting inro.
