signing

Hi, I read what you had to say and it sounds like you only ever get an up hill run where the doctors are concerned. My 1 year old son is a signer. He can already sign ten words, his first word was dog when he was 5 months old. He can read 5 editional words. He has a Severe hearing loss but with his hearing aids can hear at a normal level. The reason I sign with him is because he has a Trachy. Does your son wear hearing aids? I ask because normaly you don't sign with a child who has less then a severe hearing loss. As for the speech therapy that should have been started at no less then 3 years old. I read alot of emails and so many people feel the same way as you about there doctors and specialists. compared to use I feel like i'm on easy street with my sons medical decisions. I was under a doctor David David as a child with my TCS which is moderate. He is the most experienced and knowledgable person on TCS in the world, now my son is under The Doctor who is competeing with him for that status Dr Poole. I read some emails and hear what the doctors or specialists want to do and think it is just criminal. It is like they are using the children as a learning tool. which leads to much unessecery pain. I hope you might write back and if you want to ask anything please feel free. I know almost everything there is to know about TCS.
