When I heard they were making movies out of the books, I so wanted Thewlis to be Snape! Obviously, he can play slimy guys really well, and I thought he'd make a perfect Potions prof! I was definitely okay with Rickman - but thought that was the end.
Then I hear that Thewlis was gonna be in the HP films, and my interest was piqued again. And lo and behold, I find out he's gonna be, like, the exact opposite of Snape, as Lupin! O_O
I think this is a really cool and creative decision. Can't wait to see him take on the character; definitely a better choice than Ewan McGregor, or some other unimaginative pretty-boy choice. **gag**
