Hi All-

I am a new poster on this forum, but wanted to share some photos of my latest watch that is on it's way back from Bob Ridley this week. The watch is a 1963 5513 PCG with a Gilt underline dial (used to be). The watch was an impulse ebay purchase and was in a state of total disrepair. The end result isn't for everybody, but I am very partial to interesting looking/ water damaged and unique dials, and this one really caught my eye with the dark hands and crusty surface so I bought it. When I received it, The watch was in worse shape than I thought, so I sent it to Bob Ridley. I wanted to keep the case in a condition close to it's original state without any polishing, but needed to have the giant gash repaired on the back. The movement was toast and needed a total overhaul... see the below images.. Bob did and amazing job bringing this back from the dead. Other parts of the work included replacing the crystal, crown, tube, stem, multiple parts of the movement, and stabilizing the lume on the hands. I love the way it turned out..
