How safe is it to "polish" (for lack of a better word) a vintage handset? I'm especially concerned about the big bubble (lollipop) seconds hand? Of course I would not attempt this myself.
I have a set of hands coming, and the seller states (and I quote) "the hand set is very antique, so maybe you'll want to take it to your watch repairer to clean it up a bit. With time, the material can get that tone."
I don't have a pic of the hands......advice??? Thanks for reading!!
