...is the ability to simply enjoy it for what it is. That old fellow has a story to tell, how it made it's way through the years to arrive in it's current condition is to be celebrated not compared to it's more collectible sports model brethren whose provenance and condition must meet requirements that become the end, not the watch.

That old Date punches all my buttons, there it is, no apologies, no requirements, no disappointments. It will bring joy to it's current owner as it did to it's past owner and as it will to it's future owner.
