My guess

Hammer is right in highlighting the things to look out for. I have not measured the relative size of the retaining rings for 1675 vs 6542. I am purely guessing that they are not interchangeable because the latter is simply a plain ol' simple ring. 1675 retaining ring is a 2 step with a kind of a flange or wide flat foot. My guess is that the width of the foot will interfere with the bezel of 6542. This is simply guess from a non expert, so do take it with 2 metric ton of salt.
