I'm intrigued by the lapis dials. Plus this gives me a chance to show them happy.gif

They didn't make many of certain models...the Submariner being one and the Datejust another. The earlier non quick DJ would be the rarer of the two varieties of Dj I would think.

The Day Date would likely be more common than the Dj IMO if for no other reason, the DD it is more common than the 18k DJ in general.

I would venture that in both cases the value is exponentially higher with the exotic dial.

The gentleman showed a Tiger Eye dial 1601 the other day for sale in VRM as well. That's the only one I've ever seen.
