Who Here Uses FedEx for Shipping ...

I have a corporate FedEx account, and would like to use them for shipping the few higher dollar watches I occasionally sell (over $5K). However, I have heard a few horror stories regarding FedEx. I called FedEx for clarification, and they indicated they take shipments valued at no more than $50,000. But ... in the event a package is lost or stolen, it would be up to me to prove the declared value of the contents, as they do not insure their packages. The FedEx service rep suggested a written appraisal for jewelry, etc.

Who here entrusts their watches to FedEx? Do you have your items appraised prior to shipping? Is there a better solution, other than registered through USPS, which has a $25,000 max? Any comments on ParcelPro?

If anyone would know the answers to these questions, I thought it would be you folks.

Thanks,
Mike
