Agree, I've moved on from 6609 after comments here and other forums about scarcity of parts - that's just not the road for me. Really love the Thunderbird model in all 18k or SS/WG and am now looking for an early vintage 1625, just as you mentioned. I believe they started production in '59 or '60. Don't think there are many of them out there, but hunting is half the fun!
