...i.e. one with 55 ends, will easily fit on an 1803 (for example). The space between the lug space on the quickset models is actually fractionally wider and the case itself is thicker. Hence, the specific 55 end pieces for the transitional models.
So I would say this is a non-concealed clasp President bracelet (yes they were still making these this late)* for a transitional semi-quick Day-Date. E clasp code (c. 1990) would seem to corroborate this.
