My statement/question is this: I'd love to learn more about the role the white dial sub play in Rolex sub history. Is is documented and rare; or, is it undocumented and debated (perhaps along the lines of the early and curious white dial Pan Am 6542 GMT), or something else?

No offense implied to Andrew; while not a customer I know him and have spoken to him on a number of occasions over the years and I am well aware of his stature and position in the world of vintage Rolex - I'm asking about that white dial...
