I have been reading through the archives regarding the behavior of 60s era tritium hands. Some of the late 60s (65-67?) tritium hands/dials exhibit a faint glow after exposure to strong UV/light, which quickly fades. Later tritium dials will not. However, I could not find much information/photos of the early tritium underline era gilt dials. The theory is the zinc sulfide mix of the later 60s luminous was such that it still reacts to light (as the tritium should be inert). Should an underline era 5513 react to light, or are there different luminous mixes involved? Thank you for any insight.
