      Hi everybody,

I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks and thought it was time to formally introduce myself. My name is Roger Moore and I live in Big Sky, Montana. Most people on the watch forums think that I am using an alias but Roger Moore is really my name. I am named after my grandfather who was born in 1900 so the name has been in our family a bit longer than that "other guy" happy.gif

I have been into Rolex watches for more than 20 years. As a dedicated "waterman" I purchased my first Rolex (a 168000) new in 1987 and that was seen me threw more than a few escapades over the past 22 years (it is shown below on a Bond RAF strap but I usually wear it on the orig 93150 bracelet). As an Annapolis man (USNA class of 1983) and would love to someday find a milsub but for now my 168000 has served me well.

I started collecting a few pieces in the 1990s and my "collection" has remained largely static over the past 10 years. A couple of the watches shown below have high personal value... the Daytona was an engagement gift from my wife in 2002 (who has since given me two incredible boys), the white face (no-Oyster) was my grandfathers watch which my parent bought for him in 1959 in Japan (my Dad was a career naval aviator and I was born in Japan in 1961). There are numerous pics of Roger Moore (sr) holding me as an infant wearing that watch. The others were acquisitions in the 90s... a mint 1966 Breitling Navitimer 806, an interesting dialed Oyster from the 60s, and a 1945 Universal Geneve. I also had a nice AirKing but I gave it my Dad about 10 years ago and at 82 he still wears it daily.

I have always wanted a 1675 and am hoping that I can sell or trade the Breitling, Universal, and Oyster to fund such a purchase. I love the Breitling but since moving to MT a few years ago I find that I never wear it. Like many others I would also love to find a nice 5512 or 5513. So that's my story and the pic below shows my modest collection. I am to participate in the forum but for now I am having fun just reading and learning from other's posts. Thanks for letting me in the club. Happy 4th!

      ....Roger
