I'm by no means an expert, and bezels require very careful scrutiny and expertise to be sure. Just look at all the threads around 6542 Bakelite bezels - even those are damned hard to pick out, there are some scary good fakes out there. You'd think being as complex as they are they would be harder to fake, but there is always a market for high-level counterfeit parts when you are talking 10-15K for the bezel alone.
Bottom line - if in doubt, show the TRF! There is always someone who can help here.
