  • Swiss Made on every Tudor watch dial?

      I have a 7809 that I am the second owner of (actually the 3rd, the grandfather of my friend, my friend and me). It was serviced once since it was new in 1953. At that time the C&L was done but nothing else. The problem is somewhere along the line Swiss Made was omitted from the dial. The dial looks totally stock, and the lettering is spot on compared to all the others I have seen. Is it possible it was omitted at time of manufacture? When I just had it serviced my tech also said the dial looked stock to him too but couldn't explain the missing Swiss Made.

      Any thoughts?
