The evening was well subscribed, as we had attendees from all over the world- collectors from as far as Europe and Asia were present.
The wine served this evening was appropriately called "DEEP SEA", and we had appropriate cookies made as well.
Below is a representative sample of the hundreds of photos taken showing the passion and love that we all show....for vintage Rolex!! I've not named all guilty parties, but of course feel free to identify yourselves!!
was it a 100% private party or did you get some help or participation
from the Mother house in Geneva? Was the Deep Sea private or from the Geneva
Museum?
This was all a bunch of guys with help from Fourtane..

Rolex sent some pieces to Fourtane for public showing during Rolex Car Week. For the lack of a better description, the GTG was organized by a bunch of guys who met at Fourtane for a private viewing, then went off the dinner at a place around the corner. The pieces can still be seen at Fourtane until August 16.
We had to cap it at 40 as both the store and the dinner venue could not hold much more than 40.
It was a great evening, great people, and great watches. As my wife pointed out, "it is all about the watches and the passion people have for them.."
Now we have to think of an excuse to hold another event sometime next year..

Josh took of to the last bar that was still open in Carmel By-the-Sea
when you where already driving back to SF, I learned a new dicegame there
from 2 locals, LOL!
Many thanks to Sheldon, Eric, Josh and Jake and the hole FOURTANE team!!!
What to say? You saw "some" of the watches, do I need to say more.....
Well, yes... thanks everyone for answering all my (and other peoples) questions. There was a really nice vibe in the room, nobody was left out on whatever "knowledge" level you where on...
And boy, there was a lot to learn!
Also thanks to the ladies...so patiently! (Guy's hope you bought something nice for them , guess you had to go to a three day Hermes bag convention
Also, a special thanks to Josh...not only for organizing but also for your patience...a lot of us addicts where hanging out in his store also Saturday & Sunday (and some are still there....)...
How cool, I'm impressed and speechless ...all those VERY exclusive watches, passionate collectors! Congrats guys!!!
And Carmel, is THE BEST!!
Been there myself three years ago on a golftrip (played at Poppy Hills, Spyglass Hill, Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, Pasatiempo and a couple more ...). Still on my wishlist to play them all once more! What an adventure... I'll be back for sure

I really enjoyed meeting so many of you. The watches were incredible. My hat is of to the organizers. I must say Fortane was an outstanding venue and our host Josh was as usual a class act. I must also comment and show my gratitude for the raffle of the Rolex nick nacks, and the event bags we all received. My autographed photo is a nice addition to the collection. I was so impressed at some of the watches and caliber of quality watches was truly rare. The folks at this event were all very serious about there collections.
It was great to meet so many people that I have talked with, e-mailed with, or done transactions with, and never met in person.
The end of the night was great visiting with friends from the Netherlands and my new friend recently living in L.A. from Germany. I look forward to the next time.
A final note to all from Hong Kong it was great to see you again thanks for making the journey.
Great meeting you too Josh, we had some laughs...basically the jokes were on me but that's OK for this time!!!
And you get the special price for best suit in the house!!!! Only suit I ever saw which matches all the colours of a GMT!!! Cool style!
Wolfgang
Remember the dice playing red-necks at the bar saying Phillips was waring a "purse" when it was clearly a satchel! But I must say your pheromone cologne sure was working we were forced to beat the ladies away from you with a stick! What a GOOD TIME!
was great fun meeting you guys although the watchtalk took a back seat at a certain hour LOL!
Loved the Mike Tyson story and of course Wolfgangs "fatal atraction"
