January 1 2011, 11:03 AM

First of all... i am sure there are already way more then the 65 wink.gif

And then we have the GMT,... the Daytona's... the Prince.....

And.....

You will never be able to stop my friend. Next week another old SBS guy will walk into your shop.. look at you with puppy-eyes and you will think....'hell the Aston or 6062 will come next year' wink.gif

But thruthfull... i hope you will never stop. You are the rock-star of this show... role-model for many new collectors.

Right a book!!!
Sell 2-3 of them and archive your new dreams.

But never stop collecting!....in your own special way!

Thanks for everything!!!!!!

Thank you Bernhard....

January 1 2011, 4:00 PM

it took me around four hours setting up 65 Subs for the first pictures.... any more watches, and I would need a support team!

My friend, I so envied the picture you posted after your children gave you the home made watchbox for father's day... five watches, each one a grail, but so wearable... I am still jealous wink.gif

What a good/bad problem: reducing one hundred sports Rolex to just five that I could actually wear...

No mate

January 1 2011, 11:16 AM

No Mike you keep going till you've got 350 + and
then have your own Christies or Sotherbys sale....
From the proceeds of said sale you
buy an Island in the Indian Ocean and take up scuba
diving with a Timex , the first watch you bought...
Then someone writes a movie script about your story
you make $30 million from the movie and start collecting
Pateks !! Collecting never stops it just changes direction
now and again.... Nice collection by the way !

Best regards

Grahame.

January 1 2011, 4:04 PM

I had a friend who amassed a great watch collecton, and then sold it at auction.

For the next few years, he spent so much more trying to buy it all back again wink.gif

I hope to learn from the lessons of those who went before me!!!

Will this lot buy me a beach-side shack at The Hamptons...?

All the best for 2011!

January 1 2011, 12:59 PM

Respect MW

You have the watches to put all others to rest.

And with your collection retirement plan is one of the better I have seen wink.gif

I could see that "investing" in Rolex watches (the right ones) is a more fun pension plan - than any other I can think off.

Respect wink.gif

If I was religious I would have found the direction for my prays wink.gif

You were there to witness the MW "Nifty-fifty"... it was for me a pretty big day!

65 must be the number to start drawing my pension... I think I'll be dead and buried long before the "big ton" came into view.

Think I'll buy me a little boat and sail down to 'Stralia.... and then straight across it - the way things are going!!!

Hope you are keeping your feet dry...
