8385 Bracelet

April 16 2017, 2:00 PM

Janice,
I just picked up a 18038 w/8385 bracelet and was researching, when I found your post.
Do you still have this watch? My curiosity is the stamping on the hidden clasp leaves.
From the little bit I can see, yours looks like mine in that the Hallmark on the right side, under "ROLEX"
has a single "figure" vs. most that I've seen which have 2 on either side of the latching split.
Also, would it be possible to see the Endlink detail? I'm interested in the "55" marking and an additional mark on the small extensions that help locate them on the underside of the lugs.
Mine has diamonds on the center links and I'm wondering if the bracelet is genuine.
I can get you a picture and probably will post soon anyway.
Thanks,
Chris

Your dad had good taste!

I enjoy the Presidents on straps and the many possible combinations. For a $100 you have a completely different watch.

Hi Lou - Almost identicle 1803 in YG

April 19 2017, 2:15 PM

Same wide roof-top stick markers that overlap the pie pan edge.
I think they were only done this way for a short time.
