but you are benefiting by showing your line of watches..

One question here.. When this auction is done, will a model similar to this Expl-1 model be available for sale?
To me it seems like you are marketing your line of watches. Rolex gives to charity all the time, but we see the logo and watches in the charity ads. But we know that they get product placement.

Arthur, you're giving him far more attention than that buried pic...

...would have gotten. You would be amazed how many people have no clue what what the hell an HTE is. It seems the only people who have a problem with this relentless promotion are the other relentless promoters. Philipp has discovered a tiny bit of promotion buried in what are real additions to the forum is sometimes overlooked. I think the anger people have for Philipp is that he is so damn good at it.
He and Bernhard created the world's premier vintage Rolex event, the Passion meetings, out of thin air. Whether you accept it or not those meetings have become a big deal. People come from all over the world to spend an incredible weekend in an exotic locale with some of the world's best collections. People may be a teeny bit jealous of Philipp.
Then he has the temerity to take historically important Rolex events, gather the actual participants, dig up incredible, important items and ephemera present it to the world and then create a modern Rolex commemorating it and he is hated for that.
Philipp does big things. I have an idea we haven't seen all he is going to do and as long as he manages to keep the delicate balance between promotion and passion I simply can't wait to see what he does next.
