Hello,
I wonder if you experts can help me.
Attached is a picture of a friends 1958 5508.
I haven't seen it in the flesh, but it looks a very nice watch to me.
I am however very much out of my depth on this vintage.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Mark.

Nice watch with dial going chocolate. Bezel pearl looks a little large so check insert and bezel carefully.

Service dial?

August 13 2011, 11:11 AM

Possibly an early service dial. The gilt looks too brassy to be original. But there have been some well preserved original items that looked that bright. Anyone?

I do not like the luminous...

Looks puffy like mid sixties luminous markers. Not matching to the 58 date.

ent colour. Service dials have white writing cpmplete as I know, so it might be possible a repainted perfect dial like this wink.gif

price was 120 Euros happy.gif))))

Mods please excuse me showing a repainted ( fake???) dial, only for "learning"!

Thank you all for your replies.
I will try to get some more pictures posted, but I am on holiday/vacation, so it will be a week or so.
I will ask my friend if he can post some more on the thread also.
Thanks again.

Mark.
