WHEW! Last day here in Paris and my LOVELY wife let me drag her to a couple of watch stores!

1st we went to Cresus (as recommended right here on TRF!!) and saw a Patrizzi Daytona:

They didn't have much in terms of vintage but the lady there recomended we head to "Olivine" - a quick cab ride there and I was BLOWN away at the amount of AWESOME vintage Rolex they had... and the condition of these watches.. WOW!!!

But the absolute best part was how accommodating they were - the salesman basically pulled every watch out of the case and let me handle and try them on... it was incredible the amount of knowledge and how just plain nice they were - I've NEVER experienced anything like this state side.

Let me share with you some of the pieces they had:

Very early 1mil serial 6239:

Late model (1985) 6265:

Solid gold 6265 in absolutely immaculate condition:

Meters 1st Red Sub:

Rail Dial 1665:

Freccione 1655:

MK4 Double Red Seadweller:
[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

I've never seen this symbol before, but he told me it was a limited edition watch commissioned by French President Sarkozy for special police, and there are only 30 of these in existence:

Double Red along with the Great White:

The 1655 w/ a very interesting Tudor w/ flat crown guards... never heard of that before!!!

Couple of window shots:

Prices were a bit high.....

October 14 2011, 2:22 PM

they treat the euro like the dollar... it's a little weird a 30k dollar watch costs 30k euro!

little too high for my taste to be honest.
