Good Day, I will be traveling to Los Angeles and I have decided I would like to trade some of my vintage pieces and get something special, also in vintage. Are there any reputable vintage dealers in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills area that will accept vintage trade for vintage? Anybody with good inventory and stock of old 6263, 6265 Daytona and things of that era? Thanks Hans

A couple of ideas

Wanna Buy a Watch on Melrose
The Dream Collection in Beverly Hills

Both have websites if you want to get a sense in advance.  The pricing is high but not inconsistent with a dealer who has brick & mortar costs to cover (in a fairly expensive area)

One other thought...

go to secondtimearoundwatchco.com which is their website. They are also in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area...near Wannabuyawatch. I haven't bought from Secondtimearound in three or so years, just as they were changing ownership. I had no complaints up to that time, and I have not heard anything since to make me change my mind.

I'm sure you are aware that you will lose money trying to trade for another watch...that is just the way it goes...cars watches wives...you get less when you sell and pay more when you buy. The watch store does not need more watches, it needs to sell the ones they have already got. You will be in great disadvantage taking in your watches and hoping to make a good deal trading for what you want. You would be wiser to sell want you want to want to get rid of, and sell what you want to buy for cash. Cash is always king.

If you want to try a trade, the Market section here would be a better bet because you will be dealing with other collectors and not a brick and mortor business that has rents and salaries to pay.

If you make it to SF, Jacek Kozubek is the man!
