Ive never posted to this forum and was hoping for someone to help me with directing me to a good watch repair thats trusted. I just found out yesterday thru robert maron that this is some vintage rolex reference 3525 but i know of no one to help repair or value it. The watch is nearly 80 years old and cost me next to nothing. But i was quoted $1500 to repair it... Crazy, can someone help?

Not surprised about the USD 1500. Where do you live?

If genuine...

...and with original dial, it is probably worth at least 20 times that service estimate, so I would entrust it to a well-regarded specialist such as Bob Ridley (mentioned already) at watchmakers.com.
